There are many things people don't know about autism. One of them is how hard it is for many kids on the Spectrum to sleep at night. Consequently, many of our families are doing so much
on so little sleep.
In February 2012, we'd love to identify with those families; stand with them for one night. We'd like to see people all over the city sacrificing a night of sleep to help families in the Atlanta area.
To fundraise, some people walk or run. We'll stay up all night!
Money raised will go directly toward the medical scholarship fund, which provides financial relief for families struggling to afford the therapies their kids need.
Wanna stay up all night? Who can participate?
Anyone!
Some suggestions...
Groups of students hosting slumber parties (boy/girl scout troupes, small groups, church groups, friends, etc...)
Fraternities/Sororities up all night for a good cause
Ladies - mani/pedi & a movie night
Guys - Poker parties, XBox parties, etc...
Musicians - all night-jam sessions
There will be opportunities for individuals as well.
The sky's the limit!
Details will be forthcoming, but if you'd like to be one of our all-night groups, or would like to volunteer with this initiative,
