Adopt a Family

Autism is a difficult path for 2-parent households. In single-parent homes, the challenges can be even more difficult. In December 2009, Myles-A-Part launched its Holiday Adopt-A-Family program. We paired 10 single-parent families with sponsors. Our sponsors ranged from businesses to families, to groups of friends who pooled their resources. Special thanks to all of our sponsors for adding some holiday cheer for the families we were involved with. In addition to the gifts provided by sponsors, Myles-A-Part offered a therapy scholarship and grocery store gift cards.

Married Couples' Retreat
Walk for Autism

Couples raising children with Autism face a staggeringly high divorce rate. Some estimates go as high as 80%! Each year, Myles-A-Part takes married couples away so they can recharge, refresh and reconnect with one another. Our third retreat at the WinShape Retreat center was in October '09! Can't wait for '10!

Summer Scholarship Program
Myles-A-Part awarded $1,000 scholarships to 10 families for therapies and medical bills. So few organizations actually get much-needed funding in the hands of families so they can meet the real needs of their children. We are committed to connect families with the resources they need to do all they can!
